Technology USP:

Shine makes it easy for any supply chain to build trust amongst its members. Using Shine: a. Firms can authenticate product in real time; b. Firms can ensure source verification of their products. SHINE provides a business friendly blockchain platform which hides all technical complexity required to run a Blockchain.

Innovation USP:

There are three layers to any Blockchain platform implementation:

a. The Blockchain itself which could be Hyperledger, Ethereum, R3 Corda, EOSIO.

b. The middle layer – Account management, micro-services, APIs, Input of user data and outside market data into the Blockchain, maintenance of the Blockchain nodes, serverless computing for speed of transactions.

c. The front-end user experience and user interface.

We are creating point b and point c with Shine. SHINE is built off the EOSIO protocol with a Proof of Authority based consensus model (PoA) and innovates on the middleware layer (often ignored on all blockchain implementations) to enable ease of use, ease of implementation, ease of deployment, and ease of running the platform. Shine implements a simple plug and play model with no upfront costs and only a transaction fee based model.

Why use Shine?

Shine enables the development of generic blockchain use cases that can be used tech savvy and non-tech savvy users without compromising on the trust brought about through using Blockchain. Currently, most enterprise enterprise blockchains serve large companies which in turn interact with another large company - the most common use case being that of Walmart using the IBM Food Trust blockchain to record all their transactions for inter-country food transport. Current enterprise Blockchains have very few end users and are limited to b2b based platforms.

Shine makes it easy for anyone to use a Blockchain through a simple front-end, a strong middleware that enables use cases to run just a few nodes but still accommodate millions of users and transactions.

This is the primary USP of Shine - Ensuring trust in the data even with few nodes and millions of end users.

The data once entered into the Blockchain cannot be tampered or modified. Only large organizations that are equipped to run blockchain nodes will be running the nodes. All other participants have the option to run nodes or connect to a light client via mobile or a desktop. They will be able to see all transactions that they perform on a customized dashboard. This enables Shine to be used in a wide variety of use cases which required millions of participants, as well as in use cases where the technological capabilities of the organizations is not yet upto the mark to be able run and maintain blockchain nodes.

The Proof of Authority based consensus mechanism ensures that the Blockchain nodes are light and do not consume power. it also ensures that unnecessary complications within Blockchains such as Tokens are not introduced, rather the Blockchain is solely used as a means of enabling trust among multiple parties.

The middleware with APIs, database backups, account management tools comes as a plug and play model, hence making it easy for deploying, running, and maintaining the Blockchain;
